Skincare and Correction

Hey Beauties, Thought i would a little post on skincare today for Men.

Many products that are usually used for different things can be used in a different way than its intended purpose such as Fix+ by MAC.
Say you have just shaved and your skin is really red and itchy and you want to get rid of it instead of throwing aftershave on your skin and causing pain and more discomfort, i suggest you could use MAC cosmetics Fix+

which is a Makeup Refreshing spray but also has ingredients in it which tones and soothes the skin it contains:

Spring Water (Aqua), Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber), Fruit Extract; Chamomilla Recutitia (Matricaria) Extract, Caffeine

Fix+ can also be used to refresh the hair, keep it in your bag while on the go spray a little in the hair root to tip to wake the hair up as it contains Caffeine.
The main use of it is to refresh or finish makeup. If you make a mistake to make your face look less powdery, a few pumps of the spray around your face let it dry and you should feel fine.
MAC Fix+ retails about £11($19) for 100ml or 3.4 fl oz

Skin Care Routine!
  • Cleanse the skin from dirt (not litterally dirt haha) and impurities (I use Lancome Bi-facil) you could use anything that works for you such as Kind To Skin Moisturising Foaming Facial Wash by Simple. i like this because it leave the skin feeling so soft and tingly(you know its clean when it tingles....Or your having a bad reaction haha
"When your skin's happy and clear, you feel healthier and happier too!  Our Moisturising Facial Wash is a perfect blend of active ingredients and vitamin goodness to keep skin thoroughly cleansed and nourished. Perfect for even sensitive skin."
  • We then Tone the skin, Toning is used to so that the skin retains its elasticity and sometimes they shrink the appearance of the pores on the face so that when and if makeup goes on it doesn't look uneven or porous, I use Lancome Tonique Douceur which is Alcohol free so it is less harsh on the skin. There are alot of Toners out there that you could use just Google "Skin Toner" WitchHazel is a good toner for the skin as well.
  • Moisturise the skin- This is important if you are going to be using makeup as you want the skin to retain its moisture and not become dried out or flakey. There are different types of moisturisers such as: ones for normal skin, Dry skin, Oily Skin, Aging Skin, Sensitive SkinYou will be able to tell what kind of skin you have by the texture hopefully.

Say you have a few blemishes you want to cover up...little concealer no one has to know anything!
all you need to do is take your concealer and if its in tube form like a lipstick then just put it on the blemish and blend it in well make sure you get the tone right for your skin

When we have done concealing, you have to set your concealer so a powder is a need really, i really like the MAC Prep+Prime Powder which is Silicon based so it doesnt dry out your skin

YSL's Touche Eclat for men, If you can get a peachy/salmon tone which can be used underneath the eyes to hide those dark circles, i must say this is not a concealer so there is no coverage.

"This magic concealing pen that hides dark circles around the eyes, as well as other signs of fatigue and blemishes. Once applied evenly on the skin, it is completely undetectable and hides all imperfections. Non-fragranced and in a shade that matches all your needs, the Touche Éclat is perfect for everyday use, for when you feel stressed or need an instant pick-me-up."

Great info:)  My boyfriend takes really good care of his skin and hair!:)  He uses the CeraVe hydrating cleanser and the moisturizing cream after that.  He also has me conceal his under eye area if it is looking a little bad before he goes to work:P  We definitely need more men like this around hehe:)
