Hey Beauties!
Murad isnt a brand i have used much to be honest it was one of those brand i heard about but never used until recently. I attended the launch of the new MuradSpace which is the first one in scotland, Its a really big thing as its the first MuradSpace to open in Debenhams. It’s a really unique counter as it’s designed to replicate a visit with dermatologist and founder of Murad skincare, Dr. Howard Murad. All visitors to the counter can have a free YouthCam skin scan consultation with one of the specially trained Skin Health Specialists.

If you haven't heard of Murad before they are a brand from the US formed by Dr. Howard Murad who is a board certified dermatologist, trained pharmacist and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA. Murad offers people a path to youthful good health through science-based, clinically-proven skincare and healthcare products that have been developed as part of Dr. Murad’s Inclusive Health system of care.
I really like the idea of this product as i have quite a bit of blackheads on my nose, gross i know but when i was given this i thought it would be great for me and i was right. I have used this a few times now and the results amazed me after the first use i saw a difference it wasn't gradual it was BAM! blackheads gone. I should advise you that this is a pretty active product so try a patch test before but for me it worked perfectly.
All i did was smooth it over my nose and across the centre of my face as i find thats were i have the most blackheads and pores the pores on my cheeks. It says wait 10 minutes then wash off using the mask as a scrub, you will see it starts to foam a little when you're washing it off and this is where the magic happens as i was washing it off the blackheads were literally gone even my pores were smaller. It was weird to see to be honest as i hadn't really expected anything spectacular to happen.
After my skin had all dried i applied the Step 2 which is the Pore Refining Sealer, this works to close your pores so that blackheads cant be formed again. A lot of treatments will get rid of blackheads but there will be nothing to stop them from coming back so this is where this comes in. I found that after applying my pores did look even smaller, the Skin Health Specialist on counter, Alexis told me you can use this 10 hours after you first applied it to just make sure everything is all sealed so blackheads won't come back and it also make a great serum for those of you with larger pores but you have to make sure that if you're using this with the mask you apply it straight after you remove the mask to make sure everything is sealed
I'm really impressed with Murad, the brand is so unique and it comes from someone who knows what they are doing, products that will actually help you that focus on a whole body well being instead of just a cream for your face. I love that the boxes come with these little quotes in them "Be Someone Special" it really resonates with you
You can purcahse the Murad Blackhead and Pore Clearing Duo* from online at murad.co.uk or from MuradSpaces in stores. Murad Blackhead and Pore Clearing Duo costs £50 but will last you for a long time considering the treatment is only twice weekly and you get 50g of product

ReplyDeleteI haven't come across many male beauty bloggers and I think you are brilliant. Well done.

Fabulous review. I have heard of this brand but they are a bit pricey for me. Saying that I am always on the lookout for new products for my nose area as it is always dry and flaky (tmi sorry) I have tried pore refiners in the past and they don't work but I do use the nose strips quite a lot to try to help it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great Review sweetheart! Love reading your blogs <3

Great, well written review, this sounds amazing. And meh, I don't think it's gross you get blackheads on your nose. I have quite a problem that too as makeup tends to get trapped underneath the bridge part of my glasses and clog my pores. I usually wear contact lenses but it's still a problem :/

ReplyDeleteYeah they are pretty awesome to be honest
ReplyDeleteTotally crazy haha :P you could try the mask if you already a cream and eye cream you like
ReplyDeleteWow! This sounds incredible! For about 3 years now I have been using a very good Korean blackhead and pore clearing kit which works absolute wonders but its increasingly becoming more difficult (and pricey) to get so I am quite curious now to try this and see if it delivers the same results. As always, great review! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have just purchased my first pair of Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo from my aesthetitian, who recommended it. At the clinic it sells for $95NZ (New Zealand) which is quite a bit. But if it works, GREAT! I have taken "Before" pictures and will take "After" or "During" pictures as I continue the treatment. We will see. Murad is a well respected name in the medical skin care community, so I expect it to be better than advertised.
