Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer Review

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer Review

Hey Beauties!

I hope this week has gotten off to a great start for you all! I am currently sitting in bed feeling sorry for myself i'm not good at being Ill haha i would be the worst patient ever!

Dermalogica isnt a brand ive tried much from but ive heard stories from people who have used it and how its completely helped turn their skin around. I think the reason i haven't tried much is because i didn't really know how to get my hands on it? Dermalogica being a professional ive only ever really seen it in salons before.

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer

When it comes to primers i must say i am a big fan, i know some people dont really what primers are or what they do but maybe by the end of this post you will be more clued up. A primer is something that is usually used after moisturiser and before foundation. Primers can increase the wear of your foundation and best of all correct some skin issues that you might be having like uneven skin, pores, dryness or oiliness, pigmentation etc.

For me Hydrablur Primer is next generation technology as it bridges the gap between skincare and makeup as many primers that are out there only concentrate on the cosmetic benefits of helping make-up application, without considering skin health so in essence better skin = better makeup

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer

With three benefits in one formula, Hydrablur Primer offers intense moisturisation, natural coverage and pore-refining properties for all skin conditions, especially dry and dehydrated. I have been loving this primer because my skin is combination lately so its really dry but really oily at the same time so i find it hard to find something that helps both parts of my skin. I usually need something that hydrates my skin without making it out but i need something that helps with my large pores as well and Hydrablur Primer ticks all of those boxes.

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer

Hydrablur contains some fantastic ingredients such as: H2ORelease™ Complex of sodium hyaluronate (water binding Hyarluronic Acid), algin and trehalose which both optimise hydration levels to maintain skin flexibility and smoothness, and helps provide sustained, intense moisturisation lasting throughout the day, Abyssinian Seed Oil which helps to smooth the skin's texture and tone by creating a non-occlusive film and helps maintain critical moisture balance, without clogging pores, Mattifiers which reduce oily sheen and disguise the appearance of fine, dry lines and imperfections. Creating an even canvas with a soft-focus or blurred effect, Mushroom extract which reduces pore visibility and size, Wu-Zhu-Yu (evodia rutaecarpa) fruit extract enhances skin radiance by boosting microcirculation, and lastly a Micro-encapsulated tint that releases upon application to provide neutral coverage.

Being a big fan of primers i had a lot of hope for this and it didn't disappoint me when i applied it it felt silky soft and did make my skin feel smooth, getting rid of all the oiliness without making my skin drier which was a total plus for me. I was really impressed with was the Micro-encapsulated tint as it seemed to get rid of some of the redness that i absolutely hate about my skin so having this in Hydrablur is a massive plus!

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer

If i had to describe this product in one sentence it would be "Instagram filter in a bottle" simply because it does seem to smooth and get rid of a lot of what i hate about my skin but i know that through continued use its just going to get better and better

If you are interested in trying this amazing primer out you can find it on Dermalogica.co.uk for £38* You can also find Dermalogica in Harvey Nichols if you dont want to order online

  6. If you want your makeup to last longer, look flawless, control oilyness/dryness then a primer is for you i always think of it as a base coat so when you put your foundation on you have this perfectly smooth corrected canvas x

This sounds fantastic, I'm all about primers, I've had a few I've loved, currently using the YSL blur primer.
