Lush Skincare for Men Review

Lush is a brand i had always heard about and everyone always talks about them but i personally had never tried them because i always felt like Lush wasn't a brand for me as it was always very strong and quite overpowering in the shop but i kind of got used to it. I was recently sent quite a lot of the male skincare range from Lush something i didnt even know existed but was excited to try out.
From what i have tried of the range i can say that i have really enjoyed using these products as they are all natural and smell fantastic.

First we have the Fresh Farmacy Facial Cleanser (£4.75)which is looks like a block of cheese this looks and smells quite quite masculine like the rest of the male collection, Lush describes this product as "A chamomile and marigold infusion for a skin cooling and calming effect with added pink calamine powder to create a clay like texture."

I really like this cleanser because it doesn't dry out my skin or make it feel tight it just makes very clean and soft and as it says it is really cool, it is a really great cleanser for oily spot prone skin because it helps to get rid of spots in my opinion

Then we have the Ocean Salt Facial Face and Body Scrub (£13.75)which to is a really thick face scrub if you have dry skin and want to exfoliate the dried skin off then this is amazing once i used this i felt a total difference i no longer had any dry spots on my skin all i needed to do was apply some of the Cosmetic Lad Moisturiser  and my skin felt normal and not dry at all.

Lush describes this as "Limes steeped in vodka, grapefruit and lashings of salt go into this invigorating face and body scrub. Sea salt is rich in minerals and is excellent for scrubbing away any dead skin. We also add rich, silky avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed absolute to keep your skin soft, smooth and conditioned"

Dream Steam Toner Tabs (£2.50)* are something that are really new to me i wasn't really sure how to use these at first because they were something i hadn't seen before on the market. What do you do is you take one of the toner tabs and drop them into boiling hot water and use it like you would a facial steamer. Lush describes this as "A blend of oils for both mind and skin. Steam clean your face whilst you inhale the mood-adjusting essential oils.

A steamer tab made with rose absolute to help calm the skin and reduce redness, chamomile blue oil is really gentle and soothing on the skin, and tea tree is used for its antibacterial properties

Cosmetic Lad Facial Moisturiser (£11.95)* is a great moisturiser if you're on a budget because it works really well it would be great for someone who is just getting into skincare because its really simple and absorbs into the skin really well. Lush describes this moisturiser as ideal for calming razor-sore skin with its aloe vera and lavender honey water. Honey is an antiseptic, while aloe vera and lavender water soothe the skin. They are ably assisted by the lovely (African) Marigold, which has anti-redness powers.

This last product the Tea Tree Toning Water (£3.95)  is something i have enjoyed using because its a very versatile product as it can be used any time of day to keep skin refreshed, or to remove traces of makeup or cleanser.
Its also really great for those of you with oily skin as the toner with break down the oils and leave the skin feeling refreshed and normal. Lush describes this as an antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial, so can help keep away the bacteria that can cause spots. Grapefruit is rich in vitamins and is also lightly astringent on the skin, whilst juniper berry is antiseptic and helps keep skin clean and clear.

I think overall this is a great range for men because its really simple and easy to use. If you are looking to start of this would be the perfect range for you and even a bonus its not expensive it works well and is cheap.

Tea Tree Water is an amazing product, it feels really refreshing especially after a wet shave! It airs out your skin and is great for keeping your face feeling fresh, I've found it really helps with maintaining breakouts too.

  8. I'm currently using the Tea Tree water toner and it's amazing. Using it with Effaclar Duo + it's transformed the skin on my chin. I've also used Ocean Salt previously and liked that too
