Dangers of Latex at Halloween

Hello! <3

Since Halloween is coming up I thought I might do this to maybe?...save some pain hah
So Latex! amazing stuff. You can make cuts and burns and make it look like skin is falling off and zombies but there is a serious side to it.

  • Latex is quite dangerous just think Latex in its rubbery form is still dangerous but isnt as dangerous as liquid latex as liquid latex is the purest form of latex and can really harm the skin,
  • Be sure to buy a COSMETIC LATEX! if you buy a regular latex you will not be a happy bunny lets put it that way because normal latex even some cosmetic latex's  have a high ammonia content ((the stuff you use to dye your hair)) so imagine painting that straight onto your hands....or worse your face!
  • Always do a small test with latex a few days before to avoid any serious reactions
  • Even some Cosmetic Liquid Latex's are unsafe for skin contact because of high ammonia so you have to make a mould and pour it into it to let it let into a shape you wish
  • Always use Liquid Latex in a well ventilated area because it is strong and can cause a number of problems in a closed space
  • Apply a skin lotion or cream before application if you will be wearing for a long time
  • DO NOT! place liquid latex onto parts of the body covered in Hair, think of it as waxing when you take it off
  • if you see any redness or sore-ness take it off immediately
One last thing some people in rare case can actually die from latex allergy and they will go into Anaphylaxis

Some Symptoms of Anaphylaxis :

  • generalised flushing of the skin
  • nettle rash (hives) anywhere on the body
  • sense of impending doom
  • swelling of throat and mouth
  • difficulty in swallowing or speaking
  • alterations in heart rate
  • severe asthma
  • abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting
  • sudden feeling of weakness (drop in blood pressure)
  • collapse and unconsciousness
You don't need to be exposed to things because to find out your allergic, such as people allergic to peanuts or other food stuffs or anything really- they find out from either family history then skin tests  or they have a reaction to something, so be careful! im just saying that because of course people will have been exposed to small amounts but this is pure liquid latex so its UBER MAJOR concentrated than a little lash glue or a rubber glove

When removing liquid latex, by a specialised remover such as Pro-Clean or any other OIL based remover

But ....best thing is HAVE FUN!
I know this blog was a bit...serious, but i didnt want anything bad to happen to anyone

okay, almost everyone with an allergy to latex know's it by the time they're going to be playing with liquid latex for makeup purposes... I think we should all know already if we should be using it by now... I never use it in a well ventilated area... I always use it in my bedroom, with no windows open. I'm fine.. as long as you know you're allergic to latex don't use it..
