5 More Beauty Bits You Need in Your Life

Hey Beauties!

If you remember my previous post at the start of the year "Top 5 Beauty Bits You Have To Try" i showed you some of my favourite products that i had been using so i thought it would be good to end of the year in the same way!

Everyone knows or should know that SPF is so important to wear not just when the sun is out but all year round, realistically yeah that doesn't happen but if you want to protect your skin its best that you find products that contain some sort of SPF.  Jack Black Oil-free Sun Guard is a fantastic choice because it has a high SPF of 45 and is broad spectrum so that means you are protected against UVA and UVB rays. I like that it's also water-resistant so you will be protected in the water for up to 80 minutes after that you will have to reapply. Yes it is marketed as a "men's product" but I honestly feel like anyone can use it. If you are worried about the scent being overly masculine I wouldn't worry as it doesn't really have much of a scent at all.

Think of Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer as a primer not for your face but for your hair, This product protects, conditions, and eases styling for dry, brittle, or coarse hair. I really love this because it really is that one stop shop kind of product it does everything! I think it really comes in handy because it not only works as a primer but as an SPF for your hair so it doesn't get damaged either containing both UVA and UVB protection.

A good long last lipstick is a great thing to have because you don't always want to be touching it out and having to reapply. NYX Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken is a gorgeous nude colour that goes perfectly with the Kiko Milano Creamy Colour Comfort Lipliner in 301 Nude. Both are long wearing and affordable also even though the Liquid Suede are quite matte they aren't drying which is a big plus for me because i hate drying lip products.

I prefer using a makeup fixing spray as powders can sometimes be a bit to matte and flat, you want something that's still going to enable you to have that dewy look with the fixing properties of a powder that's where this beauty comes in from L'oreal comes in. I can't rate this enough at only £7.99 this is a total steal I feel like the only other setting sprays that actually work are the Skindinavia Setting Sprays and the Urban Decay All Nighter but both are £20+ which is a lot of money for something like a setting spray.
I really love the idea of using a setting spray because no matter how much you apply your makeup won't change whereas with powder the more you add the more likely you are to become cakey and really who wants to be applying layer after layer of powder?

Im of the thought that you really don't need to be wearing a really heavy full coverage foundation, i like applying a foundation/tinted moisturiser then going in with a heavier concealer that way you can cover up your problem areas and still have the good parts of your skin shine though.
Urban Decay One and Done is a supposed to be like the name suggests one step and you're done. One and Done instantly blurs imperfections and evens out your skin tone for beautifully perfected, ultra definition skin. It's the best of both worlds, a hybrid complexion cream which combines the benefits of a sheer foundation and the coverage of a tinted moisturiser. The best part is how it transforms the look of your skin! Over time, pores appear smaller and skin appears noticeably firmer and more radiant.

  2. I love the NYX Liquid Suede collection. These ones along with the the Kat Von D ones are the only matte liquid lipsticks that don't irritate my lips.

  3. Great picks Andrew! I haven't tried anything from Kiko yet, shock horror, but hoping to rectify that soon.

I am obsessed with Soft Spoken, it's a perfect everyday colour so will need to add the Kiko lip liner onto my wish list to try them both together. I never initially got on with the L'Oreal setting spray but once you told me to give a really good shake before applying, I have fallen in love with it. Thanks for letting me know. My arm nearly falls off sometimes, I shake the bottle that much.
