The One Palette You Need in Your Life for A/W 2016

The One Palette You Need in Your Life for A/W 2016 - Urban Decay Moonstone Palette

Hey Beauties!

As summer ends and winter draws nearer not only does that means it gets colder but our makeup tends to change as well. We turn to deeper lips, deeper eyes and to be honest I love it! Autumn/Winter has to be my favourite time of the year because I just love the makeup and the fashion.  I’m not a summer person ha ha!

I thought I would talk about the Moondust Palette from Urban Decay which I see being big this winter because of all of the shimmery/glittery eyeshadows it contains.  (A little heads up...look out for a small giveaway at the end of this week I might be giving away one of these palettes to a lucky reader ;) )

Colour and Pigmentation

If there is one word to describe the Moondust Palette it would be fun - simply because it contains super bright and glittery eyeshadows which are perfect for the party season. In the Moondust Palette you have 8 eyeshadows that are not only glittery but shimmery as well. The pigment is insane,  one swipe of the eyeshadow and they are so bright.

Application

The shadows in the Moondust Palette apply like a dream! They are really creamy and easy to blend. Although I do feel that to get their true pigment you can use your fingers to press the shadow into the lid and blend out the edges to get that gorgeous smokey look (TIP: Fingers always work best with glitters)

Wear Time

How eyeshadows wear is so important, you don't want to buy something and have it gone within an hour of application. The eyeshadows from the Moondust Palette last around 5 hours which is good for what they are. You'll find that if you apply a tacky base underneath them they will last even longer, use something like the Urban Decay Primer Potion or NARS Pro Prime.

Packaging

Packaging for me is a pretty big thing, a lot of the time I will buy something based on how it looks as well as how it performs. I love how this palette looks it's really representative of how the eyeshadows look inside the palette. Also it contains a large mirror so you really can’t go wrong!

  5. This palette looks beautiful - some colours I'd get a lot of use out of whilst others I probably wouldn't use as much! The pigment looks pretty high too for glitter. I'm also really liking your reviewing/rating system! xxx
