Urban Decay Brow Beater Review

Urban Decay Brow Beater Review

Hey Beauties!

If there is one part of makeup that i love more than contouring it has to be brows! Brows can completely make or break your look as brows frame your face. They are a lot more important than you might think.

I always say a good brow product is a lifesaver be it a powder, a pencil or a cream just so long as it does a good job or grooming your brows.

Urban Decay Brow Beater Review

I have been loving Brow Beater which was part of their Autumn 2015 Collection, this pencil has changed everything for me simply because the pencil itself is so fine unlike regular eyebrow pencils. If you know me you'll know im not big fan of powders or creams because i think they can be a bit much but with a pencil i find this to be the most natural of them all.

I was really impressed by the waterproof formula you couldn't ask for more as i find that brows and blush are 2 of the things that tend to disappear easily but with this waterproof formula you dont need to worry about your eyebrows disappearing throughout the day. In saying that Brow Beater would be perfect for those of you with oily skin because the oils in your skin won't break this down as much as a normal pencil.

One side contains the product itself a microfine pencil that goes on rather easily i wouldn't say it was a creamy pencil by any sorts but it isn't as hard as say the Shu Uemura pencils. I love the idea of this pencil being microfine this way instead of just filling in your brows with  a colour you can actually draw small brow hairs simulating a natural 3D brow rather than a flat block colour.

The other side contains a eyebrow brush which can be used to brush through your brows to shape then and groom them into the position you want. I find as i'm doing my brows when you are creating the little hair just taking the brush though the brow softens the colour making the pencil blend with the natural colour of your brows.

When i first saw the colour was called "Warm Brown" i'll be honest with you i didn't expect much as normally warm tones in brow pencils tend to make them look a bit fake and drawn on but with this pencil i didn't really have that problem because the colour isn't as overly warm as you might think. Overall the warm brown shade seems to have worked in my favour as i have warm tones in my hair so it matches quite well to the overall hair colour.

  2. Thanks for the review! I'm in need of a new brow pencil, right now I'm using a powder (just one of my eyeshadows) and it is not doing me any favors. I'll have to check this one out!
