Illamasqua Vintage Metallix in Courtier Review

Hey Beauties!

Its been quite a while since i have posted about an Illamasqua product, just lately i feel like Illamasqua has lost what once made them stand out from the crowd but today i just had to post about this new product thats from the collection "Once" for Autumn/Winter 2014.

Meet the Vintage Metallix in Courtier, a soft dusky rose with pink and gold shimmer. I have to admit this isn't the most daring crazy product but it makes a great base for eye shadows, its one of those nude coloured products that will even out the eyelids and also give you a little sparkle. It would also be perfect to use on its own for during the day wear if you're at work.

Pigmentation and Colour

As I said above this is a dusky rose toned colour that once applied feels like a cream/gel texture but will set down and is smudge and crease resistant so its perfect for all of you that have oily lids or problems with creasing. Personally this isn't the most pigmented product it's quite sheer actually but does give a really nice sheen to the eyes thats why i think it would make a great base to build from.

Wear Time

As with all Illamasqua products the wear time is always impressive i found this lasted all day so thats around 8 hours i didn't notice and flaking or creasing and what surprised me was the sparkled still seemed to be going strong by the end of the day.

Packaging

The packaging for the Vintage Metallix is the same as the Precision Eyeliner which happens to be one of my most favourite products of all time! It comes in a small round glass container with a golden lid, i always love the packaging of Illamasqua products because they're always so well presented. It must be something of a combination of the packaging and the products itself because they never seem to dry out.

Price and Where to Buy

You can purchase the Illamasqua Vintage Metallix from Illamasqua.com or from any counter for £16.50. The collection launched on the 31st of August so you will be able to purchase it

  6. I love this colour, I know what you mean though Illamasqua seem to have tamed their make up recently, not that I am exactly daring when it comes to my make up. Always good quality though, wish we had a counter near my hometown. Miss the Cardiff one. KBxx
