Redken Cerafill Defy Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Redken Cerafill Defy Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Hey Beauties!

Thinning and lacklustre hair can be a downer for everyone, I myself have thin hair but my hair is very dense and thick so it doesn't look thick, but there are those out there who have thin hair and are in need of this fantastic system by Redken.

Redken Cerafill Defy Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Redken Cerafill Defy is a treatment system of 3 products: A shampoo, a conditioner and a scalp treatment. I've only been using the Shampoo and Conditioner but even with those I have noticed a difference and since I work around hairdressers everyday they have noticed a difference in my hair. One of my friends Laura was washing my hair the other day and asked why my hair felt thicker so something must be going right.

Cerafill Defy strengthens the hair fibre to prevent breakage. gently cleanses with Zinc PCA to help reduce DHT (a derivative of the male hormone testosterone that causes hair thinning/balding), and removes follicle-clogging impurities and excess sebum from the scalp. I didn't know this before, but I read on the bottle that Cerafill Defy is safe for use on colour and chemically treated hair, which in my book is a big must because I don't want to use a fantastic shampoo and have to sacrifice the colour that I got done.

Redken Cerafill Defy Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Cerafill Defy has quite a strong scent to it, its soft of a minty ginger so its more a unisex fragrance suitable for both male and female, but even if it smelled floral like roses and it gave me the results it gives I wouldn't care what it smelled like.
A lot of volumising shampoos can end up leaving your hair tangled and dry, which is one of the main reasons I don't use them because my hair is dry and coarse enough, but with careful I haven't had that problem I can get a brush easily though my hair once shampooing and conditioning, my hair doesn't feel like straw which would be a deal breaker

Although i was sent this i think once im finished the bottle im totally going to buy another one, its amazing when you get a product that actually works because ive used a lot of beauty/hair products as you know that claim one thing and it never happens.

You can find Redken Cerafill Defy Shampoo (£18)* and Conditioner (£19)* on Mankind or LookFantastic

I have thick hair so I doubt I could use this but I love Redken products in general. Loved your post, it wasn't like alot of beauty posts, very informative.

Looks like a quality product, even though I don't need it, it will be helpful for people who have thin hair. And the price is on point.

  3. Interesting product. Not that I need it now as I have always had thick hair. It does look like a good product and I did a quick check too, does not come with parabens which is a plus.

I have thin hair, but lots of it if that makes sense. I have a natural curl in my hair which makes my hair look very full but when it's straight it's definitely thinner. Think i may give this a try!

My hair is starting to thin. Never in a million years did I expect that to happen considering I always had thick hair. I am taking biotin pills but I need to try this as well.

I started using all natural Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo for my hair several months ago and it has really done wonders for my hair.

Sounds like a fantastic treatment for people who have thin hair! It’s not an easy task to find a product that actually works!

  10. Interesting. I am having this problem but my hair is also very sensitive, so I have to be very careful with the products I am using. I can't use anything that is not professional. I will give this shampoo a try if i find it in my local boots.

  16. The packaging REALLY doesn't look like Redken?! I had to look really closely before I realised (and read your post obviously!)....I haven't used Redken Shamp/Con for a long time although I used to love the Anti-snap treamtent they did...which they have stopped doing sob. This sounds like it could be good for me also with my coloured hair as I am really fine & damaged. Although I like to mix up a strenghtening shampoo like this with a real protein-packed/colour repair conditioner to keep my hair really hydrated. I've just purchased a new duo from Kerastase which I hope will worrl wonders x
