Hey Beauties!
Today i wanted to talk about this gorgeous collection from Lancome, even though Christmas is over an done with we still need to speak about how beautiful this collection is. To be honest i hadn't even heard of this collection...bad i know but i did come to know of it because i won a giveaway on twitter of this collection.
La Palette 29 Faubourg Saint Honoré (£42*) features the famous doors of the Maison Lancôme in Paris, La Palette 29 Faubourg Saint Honoré is made of 6 eyeshadows, and hidden like a treasure under a secret tap a lip base and 2 lip matte colors to create a made-to-measure ombré lips.
This palette is absolutely gorgeous as you have all of your needed tones to create the ideal smokey eye for either daytime or night time. My favourite colour has to be the gold as its so soft and rather pigmented. I was really impressed with how Lancome created a little door for the lip colours as you'll know how much i hate when lip colors come with eyeshadow palettes and the eyeshadow gets in the lip colour making it unuseable.
As you can see the palette comes with 2 colours and a base. The base is used first of course to give the lips a smooth canvas to work on then we have a gorgeous pink/red tone that is used in the center of the lips and the darker red is used around the edges.
The Art Liner (£21*) and the Golden Top Coat (£13.50*) are something that i dont think i would get much use out of the Art Liner is a bronzy black it doesn't look very solid and doesn't photograph well so thats why i dont have a swatch of it because it just wouldn't pick up well, The gold top coat is beautiful though it contains gold leaf and is used right at the end of doing your nails.
Ombre Hypnôse Dazzling (£21* each) is probably my favourite thing from this collection apart from the eyeshadow palette. Ombre Hypnôse Dazzling is a perfect combination of pure colour and long lasting shimmer effect. This 'Bouncy Technology' formula has a waterproof 'mousse' texture which remains comfortable to wear all day long. They kind of remind me of the Chanel Illusion D'ombre although these have a lot more pigmented and staying power than the Illusion D'ombre.
I have the colours: 450 Bronze Orfèvre (Looks kind of like a mossy bronze colour it reminds me of Chanel's Peridot), 475 Nuit Enchantee (Warm Gold), 420 Givre Dore (Deep Shimmery Purple)
Left to Right: 420 Givre Dore, 475 Nuit Enchantee, 450 Bronze Orfèvre |
This collection is limited edition so i dont know how much longer you'll be able to get your hands on it but it is still available on the Lancome website and i have seen it still on counters as well
What is your favourite part of this collection?
What would you use the most?
