Hey Beauties!
If you're a fan of the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap like i am then you are going to love this Shampoo Bar from Lush called "Honey I Washed My Hair" It smells exactly like Honey I Washed The Kids which you can imagine is amazing!.
If you aren't familiar with Shampoo Bars, where have you been haha? I am in love with shampoo bars because not only do they save on packaging so you are being environmentally conscious you are also spending less money on my length of hair they last around 80 washes which to me seems like a win win situation as you'd never get that with a normal shampoo. Shampoo Bars are really easy to use all you need to do is run it under the water then rub it between your hands and then rub the bar into your hair it will start to lather up and once you have covered your hair put the bar down and just work the shampoo into the hair giving it a great clean and rinse, if you need to just repeat and then follow up with your favourite conditioner.
Honey I Washed My Hair is a toffee-scented bar with a little bit of honey, Lush describes it as a syrupy sweet bar that will make your hair turn heads (and noses). Honey is renowned for adding softness and shine to locks. To top it all off uplifting sweet wild orange and bergamot oils create an aroma that transports your troubles away.
I have been using this a few weeks now and i feel like my hair does feel softer and a lot shiner as i have quite thick coarse hair it was feeling rather dry and dull so the Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar seems to have perked it up a little.
I think Shampoo Bars would be fantastic for those of you who travel a lot because you can literally take them anywhere without the hassle of it taking up too much room as they are so small and compact, its also perfect for those of you who dont have space in your bathroom for lots of bottle. If you want to keep your Shampoo Bar all safe and dry that way it will last longer, you could buy a little tin for the bar these are only £2.50 they are really cheap way of storing the shampoo bar.
I think they are a fantastic alternative to a big bottle of shampoo and if you are thinking that a shampoo bar might not last long enough i have had a few other shampoo bars from Lush and they have all lasted a really long time at least a couple of months so i would say maybe 80 washes at least they do the job of maybe three 200ml shampoo bottles.
You can find the Lush Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar at lush.co.uk or in store. For £5.95 i dont think you can really go wrong with even just trying one of these out and seeing how it goes as its not exactly a high end product but performs extremely well.
I would love to try these :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Lush's shampoo bars, but I think my favourite would have to be NEW. It's really good at helping your baby hairs grow properly (I seem to have about one billion of those, ugh) and making sure your hair is cared for. Shampoo bars are fab, and I think they're definitely worth the price!

I brought a shampoo bar with my to Europe last year & it was great. I barely used half of it & it smelled delightful. Like you said, there can be issues with crumbling if you don't dry it. :]

I love Lush's Curly Wurly shampoo but I've never tried their bars, but this post is very convincing - they seem wonderful for travel! I've also been tempted to try their conditioner bars for a while so I might have to take a plunge and buy one of each :)

Off topic but now I can't buy Ojon detox shampoo in UK any more I've started using the Tresemmé one. It does the job enough that my hair colour holds (the silica build up used to stop colour from holding) but my hair feels awful. As you're a stylist can you recommend me a detox shampoo I can get here in UK?
