Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Virgin Review

Hey Beauties!

I thought i would do a post today on this awesome lipstick from Illamasqua called Virgin (£18.50*) Its is a part of a collaboration between Illamasqua and Virgin Atlantic to celebrate their 30th anniversary also after the revealing of the redesigned iconic red uniforms, from what i understand this shade of lipstick aptly named Virgin will be worn by all of the staff at the airline.

Colour and Pigmentation

Virgin is a warm cherry colour which reminds me a lot of MAC Ruby Woo actually so it would be great for you guys who want a change but i've heard a lot of people dont like to wear Ruby Woo as it doesnt suit them so maybe try this before you buy it . As with all Illamasqua lipsticks the pigment is amazing i feel like in terms of pigment you cant beat Illamasqua because even with their satin lipsticks the colour is just so opaque.

Wear Time

From what ive heard from everyone is that these lipsticks last around 4-5 hours and for me i would say the same about 4-5 hours you could blot and reapply that way they might last longer but what i do like about the way these wear off is that you're left with a sort of stain rather than it just completely wiping of your lips so i suppose in a way thats a great thing

Packaging

I say this every time i review an Illamasqua lipstick but the packing is great its really simple, a shiny rectangular tube that is kept the same right across the Illamasqua range as i like to think of their shape. Illamasqua lipsticks snap shut so you won't find the lid off in your bag or pocket staining everything. Apart from the design of the packaging its just your average lipstick tube

Price and Where to Buy

If you're in the UK you can purchase these online or at any Illamasqua Counter, if you live outside the UK then Virgin is set to launch internationally sometime in October. You can also purchase the "Virgin Gift Set" which contains the Virgin Lipstick, Neutral Palette and Lip Pencil in Lust for £50 and that can be found online as well

  2. I am a HUGE fan of red lipsticks and that is such a stunning red. I have yet to have the chance to try anything from Illamasqua (Malaysia does not carry the brand, shame!) but when I finally get the chance to try this brand, this lipstick will definitely be one of the first in my list.

  3. So many new lovely red lipsticks about. I've always been a bit cautious of wearing a red lipstick, but just brought Rubywoo and I love it. This Illamasqua one looks gorgeous, such a great shade of red. Bet the Virgin staff look great with it. KBxx

  6. I love this colour. The lipstick is only available online and at stand alone Illamasqua counters, not concessions unfortunately. It reminds me of the Maleficent True Loves Kiss lipstick, gorgeous!
