Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer Review

Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer Review

Hey Beauties!

How are you all doing?

You have no idea how popular this concealer is. Every time I have gone into Boots or Superdrug it has always been sold out - apart from that one time I managed to almost fight someone for it.  I found the last one in Boots, Braehead, and I was literally thanking whatever gods might be out there that I had managed to get my hands on another one because there were rumours out there that this was getting discontinued.

I know getting excited about a concealer seems crazy but, really, this is worth it.  You know me, I don’t believe much hype -  I just  don’t buy into it but this is probably one of those products where the hype is there for a very real reason.

Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer is not only just a concealer but it helps to protect and perfect the area under the eye over time. It contains such ingredients as Goji berry, which are antioxidants as well as having firming properties. There is also Haloxyl, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-discolouration effect. So, basically over time, you should find a reduction in dark circles and puffiness.

What really surprised me was the applicator for The Eraser Eye Concealer.  It’s a what Maybelline have coined their "Micro Corrector".  Basically it’s a microfibre sponge that has millions of tiny antimicrobial microfibers which kill microorganisms or inhibits their growth. Using The Eraser Eye Concealer won’t disturb or move your makeup as the applicator is really soft when applying it is almost like an airbrush. I will admit I was concerned about the idea of bacteria and germs growing on the sponge but it is supposed to be antimicrobial so hopefully it should be fine.

I really like the formula - it's a really soft but packs a punch as it has a lot of coverage. This seems to be the theme of The Eraser Eye Concealer from the sponge to the product itself. You will find it won't crease up on you and it won’t move either as it appears to set after a while which I really like.

Light is the perfect shade for those of you who want to cover dark circles but also want a bit of brightness added to the under eye area. Think of a more wearable version of what Kim Kardashian does with her makeup under her eyes

As you can see it's quite hard to see the product because it’s quite diffused so this is the effect you get under your eyes. I would say you get quite a good amount of wear out of this concealer.  When I have been wearing it, it has lasted all day. As you know I’m at college right now doing Hairdressing, I’m in a hot environment with hairdryers going constantly, and I’ve still found it holds up well despite the heat and humidity.

You can get the Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer from Boots and Superdrug but as I said this is still a really popular product so you will have to keep trying. It costs around £7.99 but if there are usually sales on in Boots or Superdrug so you could get it as part of an offer.

Somehow I haven't tried this, but I need to! Good to here that the sponge is antimicrobial, I've always wondered about that x
